Foundation

Overview

IBP is committed to building a better tomorrow – today. Our employees and the communities they live and work in are the heart and soul that fuel each branch to provide excellent service every day. It’s with that in mind that the Installed Building Products Foundation was established in March of 2019.

Framing Futures

Through our scholarship program, Building For Tomorrow, employees and their family members are encouraged to pursue their dreams. Our employees, their spouses or partners, and their dependents are eligible to apply for a $2,500 renewable scholarship to help cover the cost of any accredited post-secondary full or part-time college, university, community college, trade or vocational program.

Through this scholarship program, IBP is proud to play a small part in making dreams come true.

“The IBP Foundation Scholarship I’ve received has truly been a blessing for me!  It has always been my dream to become a nurse, but life happened and that dream was put on the back burner. When my husband came home from work with the information to apply for the scholarship, I knew it was time for me to pursue my passion. This scholarship provides me with a sense of relief and comfort knowing that a portion of my tuition is taken care of. Thank you Installed Building Products Foundation!”
-Amy Topola

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to participate in this program. I attend Vanguard University in California. I will be a sophomore in the fall and I am on the women’s soccer team. I really appreciate how IBP is making a contribution to the future leaders of our community. Thank you for taking part in my higher learning journey.”
-Maleah Vasquez

“I am currently earning my bachelor’s in social work and this scholarship has really helped me financially complete my dream. My dad told me about this scholarship and I immediately applied for it. It was a simple process to apply, and renewing it has also been a simple process. In addition, the communication done through this scholarship is really great – they are always ready to answer questions. Overall this scholarship has been a really great opportunity and has been a great process overall.”
-Litzy Hipolito

“First and foremost, thank you! Thank you for supporting students throughout their educational journey. I am extremely fortunate to be financially helped through the IBP scholarship that is offered at this company. Receiving this scholarship has helped me in so many ways. Going to college never really seemed like a possibility as a minority – especially as a first-generation student with hardly any help to guide you every step of the way. The scholarship has allowed me to focus on my studies without having to be worried about my financial responsibilities at school. With this stress off my shoulders, I believe I was able to make the most out of my college experience by dedicating more time to what means most to me. I am happy to say that I graduated from San Francisco State University this May with a Bachelor of the Arts in Child and Adolescent Development with a 3.7 GPA, ranking me with the honors of magna cum laude. I could not have done this without the help of my family, as well as, the support from IBP, thank you!”
-Bianca Vasquez

Building Homes

We believe that everyone deserves a safe place to rest their head at night; and our Building Homes pillar is focused on just that. This pillar is powered by two key initiatives: an Employee Financial Assistance Program, which provides financial assistance to our employees in case of an emergency, and a Nonprofit Grants Program, which provides funding to nonprofits organizations who are working to build, renovate or provide shelter for those in need.

“Everybody either hits a rough patch sometime in their life or at some time needs a leg up.
This program is meant to help during those times.”

-Jeff Edwards, CEO of Installed Building Products

The nonprofit grant partners we work with are providing vital services in their communities, and we consider it a privilege to help them work towards their missions.

“Our mission is to prevent and alleviate homelessness, and the IBP Foundation has been a crucial driving force in helping us accomplish this. Through a $60,000 grant, we’ve been able to provide up to $700 in rental and bill assistance per household to prevent families from losing their homes and or services. This effort is vital to preventing homelessness because it targets those at risk of losing their housing or services. The IBP Foundation is truly committed to building a better tomorrow – today, and showed our community they focus on Framing Futures, Building Homes and Fostering Communities with excellence and care.

Not only will our organization be forever grateful for this partnership, but the people we serve in our local communities will never forget what IBP Foundation has been able to provide them with.”

At Creative Living in Columbus, Ohio, we provide safe, affordable, wheelchair accessible housing for adults with physical disabilities. At the heart of our mission is our unique Resident Assistance Program that delivers on-call, non-medical assistance 24 hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year to bridge the gap between the time a personal care attendant might spend with residents and the remaining hours of the day.

In December 2019, the IBP Foundation awarded Creative Living a $275,000 grant to complete crucial upgrades in one of our flagship communities. These upgrades include re-insulation of the entire 1970s-era building; a complete renovation of the community room to meet and exceed 21st century accessibility standards; and exterior improvements to ensure the structural viability of the community for many years to come.

We are so appreciative of the investment the IBP Foundation has made in our organization and look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.

Fostering Communities

Thriving communities are the bedrock for safe and happy homes. Through this pillar we aim to support the causes our employees are passionate about.

Through our Matching Gifts and Dollars for Doers programs, the IBP Foundation matches both the monetary and volunteer time donations of our employees to nonprofits. By joining forces with our employees, we’re amplifying the impact they can have on the causes they care about.

“This program allows me to double the impact I am already trying to make and lets me know IBP is invested in supporting me AND our communities.”
-Sonia Silva, OJ Escondido

Most of us are readily able to volunteer our time and talents, but not always in a position to offer up our treasures. It is a remarkable concept that the organizations we love and care for can also monetarily benefit from our service to/for them with the help of the Dollars for Doers program.
